Place
chocolate
chips,
peanut
butter
(if
used),
oats,
and
vanilla
in a
large
mixing
bowl.
Combine
the
margarine,
milk,
and
sugar
in a
saucepan;
bring
to a
rolling
boil.
Boil
for
1
minute.
(Drop
a
small
amount
of
your
boiled
mixture
into
a
glass
of
cold
water
and
see
if
it
forms
into
a
ball).
If
not,
let
it
boil
for
a
couple
more
minutes.
Remove
from
heat,
then
combine
the
hot
mixture
with
the
oatmeal
and
chocolate
chip
mixture;
stir
well.
If
you'd
like
you
can
also
add
a
cup
of
peanut
butter
or
half
a
cup
of
nuts.
Drop
spoonfuls
onto
tin
foil
or a
cookie
sheet
and
let
dry
for
at
least
an
hour.
(They
always
taste
better
the
next
day).
Don't
eat em
all
yourself,
share
them.

Additional information, Chocolate chips make the cookies a lighter brown color, however cocoa has a richer color and a little more flavor. They're both delicious! |
